Forever and Always Farm Wedding
Forever and Always Farm is one of my favorite wedding venues in California. This venue is located in Temecula on the rolling hills of Santa Rosa. When you’re planning a wedding, a family-oriented Forever and Always Farm Wedding from Prince Counties is the perfect location. This gorgeous green field of land belonging to Malcolm Anderson has been an agricultural business since 1847 and was later converted into a beautifully landscaped event facility. Choose from four ceremony sites spread across two acres, or even say your vows in our onsite barn which offers guests seating for up to 500 people, or out where the flagstone patio meets rows of maple trees that lace down the hillside and create stunning backdrops for photography
About the wedding couple
The first thing you’ll notice when you look at Olivia and Edgy’s wedding photos is your smile.
Yes, you read right, your smile!
Because the energy these two put out into the world is more infectious than any virus. (And way better for your health!)
When Olivia first reached out to me, she expressed how she wanted a photographer who captured the outpouring of love she knew was in store. Someone who they’d feel comfortable with. Someone who could photograph all the beautiful, real, natural elements of their big day. And someone who captured genuine reactions over staged actions.
I wanted this for them too. And to assure them that they would receive a gallery of images grounded in reality. Because, as you’ll see, the reality is beautiful. Even when the world’s worst pandemic, and some surprisingly delightful guests, is part of the picture.
Wedding planning during a pandemic
Edgy and Olivia met online in 2006. (Anyone out there remember AIM and MySpace?!) Funny enough, they actually went to the same highschool without knowing it. And have grown up together ever since. So, you can imagine how excited they were to finally tie the knot 14-years later.
Olivia found me through a venue’s Instagram page, and we clicked immediately. She worked through my questions and we talked a ton. She told me stories about how her and Edgy love taking goofy videos and pictures of each other when hanging out at home.
My kind of people.
I was so excited to work with them taking those thoughtful, and sometimes goofy, pictures on their special day.
Then, Covid waltzed its way worldwide around the dance floor. Spilling drinks. Knocking over tables. Bumping into people. Generally just wreaking havoc.
No matter. The pandemic wasn’t going to stop these two love birds from exchanging vows under perfect, baby blue Southern California skies and a gazebo of trailing, tropical flowers.
They worked around the situation by trimming their guest list and finding vendors they could count on to help through uncertain times.
Olivia genuinely loved every part of wedding planning. And I was thrilled to be a part of it.
Every moment counts
The laughter, the love, the never ending smiles were woven through every minute of Olivia and Edgy’s celebration.
And because Olivia and Edgy have such a long-standing history, and overcame the pandemic hurdle to make their wedding happen, it made my job of capturing the love between them, and all of the meaningful family-oriented fun and excitement, all the more important.
Olivia and Edgy were all about spending their big day with their closest friends and family. They wanted to make it extra special for every guest. And seeing everyone together, not a strange face in the room, was one of the best parts of their day.
But amongst the wedding party, there were some strange faces. At least to start out. Olivia’s bridesmaids weren’t all from the same friend group (which you wouldn’t know by looking at the photos.) But by the end of the ceremony, they had all hit it off so well it felt like a real squad. And capturing that genuine camaraderie was such a pleasure. The best moment I captured of her group was when Olivia literally SCREAMED with excitement after doing a huddle and high fives with her wedding party.
The little details
Edgy and Olivia are so.in.love. Overflowing with joy. Affection. Bliss. There was no way I was going to let any moment slip through the cracks for these two.
From the first look photos to the final dances, there were so many precious pieces of this wonderful wedding puzzle to capture.
— Heart-shaped locks and keys the couple hung from a huge heart statue
— Pictures with a llama
— A photobombing cat
— The officiant breaking it down on the dance floor
— Recreating an 80’s music album
But both my and their favorite detail was the pair of skeletons in rocking chairs that crowned their cake. Olivia received the rocking chairs as a bridal shower gift, and the skeleton toppers just so perfectly match their personalities. “Spooky, yet very lazy,” Olivia says.
Words of wisdom
Olivia’s advice to future brides: “Think hard about what you like. This is your wedding. At the end of the day, do what makes you happy. Make sure you feel comfortable with your vendors and have an open line of communication because they make the magic happen!”
